Steven Raspa (USA)
$teven Ra$pa is an artist, arts advocate, recognized leader and long-time community events producer for Burning Man. He has over 25 years of event production experience and has worked with numerous arts organizations, nightclubs, performing groups, and museums. In addition to organizing gatherings for Burning Man, he supports and nurtures “Burner” communities and official Burning Man Regional Events around the world. He is a founding member of the Burning Man Regional Network Committee and has a wide range of first-hand experience supporting a growing and globally disperse community of artists and freethinkers.
$teven Ra$pa was named by 944 magazine as one of the most influential people in San Francisco nightlife and culture, although he first cut his teeth as an artist in the vibrant NYC East Village underground art and nightclub scene of the 1980s. He represents Burning Man at city planning meetings on issues affecting the arts and entertainment in San Francisco and has provided input to the San Francisco Entertainment Commission and Board of Supervisors on issues affecting nightlife, street fairs, art spaces, and entertainment. He has also consulted to the Downtown Project in Las Vegas, Nevada on a monthly initiative to engage and support local artists and urban revitalization.
