Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE)

With its global attendance and multiple program streams, ADE’s platform connects. One week a year Amsterdam is turning black and yellow for Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). It is the leading electronic music platform and the biggest club festival in the world for the whole spectrum of electronic sub-genres. The conference attracts thousands of delegates from all over the world as they come together to network, share their experiences and do business. The renowned extensive music, gear, art, film, talks & pop-up program turns Amsterdam into the clubbing capital of the world, covering all things related to electronic music culture.

Richard Zijlma

Richard is the founding father of the Amsterdam Dance Event. He started the conference in 1996 and nobody had foreseen how big the global dance industry would be 20 years later. We can truly say Richard is a visionary in his field. Nowadays there is a lot of attention for copy rights for producers and artists. The Amsterdam Dance Event made sure there is awareness for all kinds of topics surrounding the dance industry. And Richard is asked to do more. More and more cities are adopting the ADE format for dance events all over the world.

The School of House

The School of House is the educational platform for Dance culture, offering a 360 view on the industry through topnotch speakers like Duncan Stutterheim, Nicky Romero, Roog, Steve Rachmad and many others. In various event, music, artist and industry masterclasses they share their experiences, practicle knowledge and provide valuable feedback. Students learn from successful entrepreneurs and benefit from our broad Dance network with partners like ID&T, Ableton, Kunstbende and Beatport. Aside to private education we develop curricula for educational institutions like ROC Amsterdam and the NHTV Breda.
